Brett: 0-3 Months
After Brett was born he had to be taken to the NICU because he couldn't get the fluid out of his lungs and he had some trouble breathing. Mom couldn't give him his first meal that night. It was very sad. They said that mom could come down at 9:00 am the next morning.
When mom and dad got down there the next morning, little Brett started having a seizure. It was a horrible thing to see. Alas, mom didn't get to feed him then. Mom had to go back to her hospital room and use the breast pump.

Later that day mom got to come down and feed him. It was a very emotional moment. Talk about bonding!

Dad and Brett got a little sleepy and needed to take a nap. Cute, huh?
When Brett was 1 week old they told mom and dad they could take their little boy home! How exciting!

DISCHARGE!!!!

"I'm ready to go home mommy and daddy!"
Ah... to be home without nurses and a monitor and all those other things. Dad's relatives from Utah came to visit. Great Grandma Harris, Great Aunt Jenn...

Great Grandma Alvey...

and Great Grandpa Alvey.
His Nana (dad's mom) and Great Aunt Jen stayed with mom and dad for the first few days to help mom and dad out a little bit.

Here is a picture of Nana with Brett.

Here's a picture of us at home with our baby.

A friend, Courtney, came over and got to hold him, too.

Brett has always loved music and still does!

Brett loves having a bath!
And what better way to end this wonderful story...

than with a kiss!!!
